The BioDTex lamp is a detection device designed to detect biofilm and microbiological contamination in real-time. It is used in food processing, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical plants. The device is particularly useful in the process of controlling the sterility of production environments, validating the effectiveness of cleaning processes, monitoring the cleanliness of equipment and surfaces that come into contact with food, and finally during sanitary and hygiene audits.
UV LED diodes. Thanks to the adjusted UV A wavelength and LED diodes, the device allows for immediate visual identification of biofilms.
The BioDTex lamp is integrated with a 12 MP camera and a 2.8-inch screen. It operates on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (14.4 V, ~4.5 hours), charged in less than 3 hours; compliant with IP65 standard, it has passed a drop test from 1.5 m. UV A radiation reveals biofilm and other contaminants (e.g., Listeria, E. coli, Salmonella) due to the characteristic fluorescent effect, visible as green or blue-green areas.
Photographic documentation facilitates reporting and verification of cleaning effectiveness.
Key features of the BioDTex lamp: Mobility. Its compact and ergonomic design allows for easy operation in the field. It is ideal for monitoring cleanliness in large facilities and hard-to-reach places. Battery power. It operates on an efficient battery, providing up to 4.5 hours of continuous operation, which is important when working in areas without power sources. Built-in camera. The device is equipped with a high-resolution camera, useful for creating documentation or inspection reports.
identification of problematic areas,
tracking the sanitation process,
documenting compliance with hygiene standards.
BioDTex can operate independently, but also with ATP testing systems. Unlike the ATP test, which requires physical contact with the surface for manual swab sampling, the BioDTex lamp allows for contactless detection of contaminants (biofilm, bacteria, yeast, mold).
Pharmaceutical industry: control of sterility in production environments.
Environment: research on the impact of biofilms on water treatment systems.
Food industry: monitoring the cleanliness of equipment and surfaces that come into contact with food.
Healthcare and HoReCa: monitoring and preventing microbiological contamination.
Cleaning companies: validation of cleaning effectiveness.
Chemical industry: assessment of the effectiveness of cleaning and disinfection agents.
The visual detection process takes a few seconds, minimizing downtime and human resource involvement.
